CVC Staff

Josh is responsible for the overall ministry at CVC-Brunswick, including the teaching on Sunday mornings. Josh holds Bachelor’s and Master’s of Divinity degrees from Liberty University, a Masters of Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy in theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he wrote on developing a theological definition of gender. Josh has taught college-level theology classes for twelve years and is a fellow at the Center for Pastor Theologians. Josh and his wife Deborah have four young children: Judah, Rebecca, Hannah, and Micah. Josh is an outdoorsman, a reader, and loves to spend time with his family.

John Campbell is the Men’s Ministry Director for CVC Brunswick Campus. John leads Men’s Ministry activities including LifeGroups, service projects, fellowship meals and Discipleship Huddles. John feels privileged to be used by God in this capacity, as he enjoys spending time with groups of men in Christ and discipling men through their walk of faith. Married to Melody, John has 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Spending time with family is a priority. Watching Cleveland baseball and the Ohio State Buckeyes follows not far behind.

Matt serves as the Director of Community Life at CVC Brunswick Campus. In his role he offers direction, support, and oversight of Lifegroups, Discipleship Huddles, and any classes that are offered. It is his pleasure to guide leaders as they help others grow in their knowledge and love of Christ. Matt also serves as a Ministry Advocate for Building Hope in the City, and has a passion to serve those in our communities with exceptional needs. In his free time, he enjoys reading, family, and renovating old homes. He and his wife, Sara, have two children, Nora and Charlie.

Ashley is the CVCKids Ministry Director for the Brunswick Campus. Her desire is to create an atmosphere of learning and fun to ultimately equip children to face the world with Jesus as their Savior. Ashley holds a BA in Business Administration from Cleveland State University. She and her husband, Joshua, have been married since 2014 and have three young biological children and are in the process of adopting their fourth child from India. In her spare time Ashley likes to cook, play Legos and board games with her kids, and study the Bible with her husband.

Bettina serves as the Women’s Ministry Director at CVC Brunswick. She is passionate about building a community of women who support one another. The Women’s Ministry pillars are understanding and obeying God’s Word, incorporating prayer into daily life and building community with one another. Bettina and her husband, Steven, have been married 21 years, and have six amazing kids who are great at practicing hospitality. She and her husband are both coaches, suburban homesteaders and grow a lot of their own food and medicine.

Kevin is the Director of Youth and Worship at CVC Brunswick, where he leads worship for our weekly services, leads CVCYouth, and takes care of whatever else is needed! Kevin graduated in 2016 from Clark’s Summit University with a BA in Youth Pastoral Studies. He and his wife Carrie have been married for 4 years and have one son, Josiah. Before heading to CVC Brunswick, Kevin spent time at CVC Broadview Heights interning with the CVCYouth team and leading the Young Adult Ministry. Kevin loves spending time in his chair with a cup of coffee and a good book, particularly ones written by his favorite author, J.R.R. Tolkien. You can also often find him playing old Legend of Zelda games. He’s a dog lover, diehard Yankees fan, and a little obsessed about getting his lawn to look better

As the Administrative Assistant at CVC Brunswick Campus, Kathy carries out routine office tasks, offering support to Pastor Josh Stone. God prepared her for this position with many years of office administration and ministry experience. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Kathy and her Argentina-born husband Jorge were missionary church planters in small, rural towns in Argentina for over two decades. They are blessed with three married children and six grandchildren, who all currently live in Ohio. Kathy enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and hiking, especially in the Great Smoky Mountains.
